The Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial’s mission:

"Remember and Honor Wisconsin law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty".

Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial, Inc. (WLEM) was first formed in 1990 and hosted the first Annual Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony in the State Capitol Rotunda in May of 1991.

Officer Louis Hardy - Oshkosh Police Department

End of Watch: July 28, 1890

Personal Information
He left behind a wife and two children.

Incident Surrounding Death

Officer Hardy was shot and killed as he attempted to arrest a drunken loafer in a south side tavern.


Officer George O'Connor - Oshkosh Police Department

End of Watch: July 23, 1922

Incident Surrounding Death
Officer O'Connor was operating a police motorcycle when he was struck by a car. Officer O'Connor died later that same day from head injuries.

Incident Surrounding Death

Officer Spiering was killed after his motorcycle hit a truck pulling out from a curb.

 

 

 

The Oshkosh Police Department Honor Guard Team partisipated in the memorial service. Honor Guard Team Commander Brian Schuldes is shown honoring Oshkosh Police fallen Officers.


The Bravest and Finest Memorial Pipe Band and Madison Police Department Rifle Squad provide their service at the ceremony.


Oshkosh Auxiliary Police Officers partisipate in the annual memorial service.

The Oshkosh Auxiliary Police offers our deepest sympathy and prayers to all those affected by the events of September 11, 2001.

Our thoughts are also with the spouses and families of the brave and courageous Officers of the NYPD and Firefighters of the FDNY.
